the Oregon coast is one of the most beautiful in this country |

WA coast > Oregon coast.
But I prefer mountains and tide pools over sandy beaches. |

Grew up on the oregon coast and fucking loathe it.
Misty foggy windy rainy 364 days of the year. Completely taken over by meth and bums Lots of old fucks who cannot drive Lots of liberals |
|
That look like the pic I took earlier today from Twin Peaks at the top of San Francisco.

The sun on the Oregon coast is some mythical thing like bigfoot. Some claimed to have seen it.

Hope you brought your Vitamin D pills and don't step on any needles

Lol. Looks about right for most of the time.
We had a good day last weekend. Attached File Found a starfish that looked... familiar Attached File Attached File |

We deal with shit weather 10 months out of the year just so the flat landers can come here to flee the heat and bitch about how here isn't enough like valley. It sucks here, we're full. Try California next vacation |

the OR coast is some of the most beautiful country around, but it does get a marine layer from hell sometimes

I was in Bandon and Coos Bay yesterday. They still suck. Salty sea air ruins everything. Way too crowded. Very dirty cities, especially closer to the water. Seafood is disgusting. It's always cold. Even smells funny.
Much prefer the high desert. Y'all can keep your hippies on the coast. |

I’m headed there in a few days. Any suggestions on things to do other than don’t go or leave as quick as possible?

View Quote ^ Probably my favorite place on earth. Don't think there is a single square inch of that place that isn't beautiful. Though I've had a lot of great times on the Oregon coast riding the dunes with friends. |

And highway 101 is a damn parking lot in the summer from Seaside to Newport.

I've spent a lot of time at Yachats and Waldport (A couple of little gems that get overlooked too often) over the last 40yrs.

Best seafood is the SEAHAG in Depoe Bay.
period. Great claw chowder and it's not all potatoes like Moes. |

Have stayed in Yachats twice a couple years apart. Stayed in Coos Bay last time, which is ho hum but access to the Dunes and a run down to the Cali Redwoods. The southern stretch down into California is pretty beautiful, too. Attached File Attached File |
