back when I was lifting I would use a mix of "myfitness pal app" and bodybuilding.coms online tools. Both were free.

I prefer ink and paper, just feels right.

I've tried apps, but fiddling with my phone after each set kind of takes away from the workout.

I tried the bodybuilding.com app a few years ago. It was more of a pain in the ass than it was worth. Same thing with the app for my Garmin watch. The hard part from my experience, is finding out the name for the exercise you're doing (what the developers named it) . For example, shrugs. The lift might be under shoulder shrugs, dumbell shrugs, weighted shrugs, kettlebell shrugs etc. Calf raises. Seated, standing, barbell, dumbell, donkey etc. I think you get the idea.

I’ve been using it for 6 months, pretty good app low cost.

Does just about everything

I switch between Stronglifts and Conjugate Method, depending on the program I'm on. The Stronglifts ap isn't as useful unless you get the pro version and pay for it.  The Conjugate Method app is very good and has a free version.  It seems like more workout programs have their own app which makes it very easy.

I just downloaded GymBook and like it so far. I just started at Planet Fatness, and their app is pretty much worthless for anything but cardio.
