What's the scientific argument for wearing two masks?
I wear a surgery mask in regular clinic. I wear an N95 and a face shield when screening people for COVID. There's no rationale for wearing two masks, unless this is some kind of, "if one is good, two is better" ignorance. |

We are already required to wear double layered masks at work inside or if we are closer then 6 ft to co-workers outside. Been that way for a couple of weeks.

I was thinking of wearing 4 or 5 to be sure, but that seemed wasteful, so I just contacted my favorite pillow guy, Mike, and picked up a couple of very nice pillows to strap across my face. That should work.

My GF quit her job over the double mask nonsense 2 months ago. Stupid shit management dreamed up to make them feel like they were making a difference.
Meanwhile at my job, no mask for me. Had a customer come in yesterday, she asked me if she had to wear a mask. I told her whatever you want to do is fine with me... She took off the mask. |

There are a couple of reasons to wear double masks. 1) Wearing a surgical mask over an N95 will help you to reuse the N95, which are still hard to come by. 2) Like president harris in that pic, she is hiding the fact that she has an N95 that the peasants can't have. 3) Being at high risk for rona complications, I wear an N95 with vent. My doctors office requires a no vent mask so I put a surgical mask over my N95. 4) A friend of mine wears a fashion mask over a filter mask. That's a little weak but whatever.
