no political discussion at all.... and nothing but legal build discussion allowed. There is no similar repository of builders info anywhere on the web....especially since weaponeer.net went away |

There was quite a bit of talk about how long it would be before we got axed. trenches is my username over there. Got that STASI. Or do you prefer KGB? BTW anyone could join. You just needed 20 posts to view certain parts. Won't be long before talk radio goes off the air too. Or should I say communized. |

The problem with just setting up a right wing or at least pro gun server farm is simple. You still need connectivity. Power, the building, the hardware... you can all make work even if it costs a bit more than through AWS or Azure or Google. Getting the redundant bandwidth and having some faith you won't be disconnected is tougher. I imagine you could fairly easily find a foreign registrar that will cooperate and not give a damn about our political situation or even find it to their advantage to thumb their noses at the democrats. So that aspect is doable. Of course, the left could pressure US based bandwidth providers into shutting you down.
That's a lot of money to tie up in a system with a couple easily attacked failure points. It's not like you can get russian satellite connectivity for that much bandwidth. I doubt Elon is gonna jump THAT far to the right either. |

WG is moving to a new host & server!! ( A hobby friendly host)
We will be going into "Maintenance Mode" for the switch effective at 5pm EDT on Sunday 1/17/21. This could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, but we hope to be back up on Monday. YES we have back ups in place & if it all goes to sh@t.... Tony will re install & go again. SO FAR its all going good. There will be some small hiccups & glitch's. We will work on them as they get found. Remember: If you get a blank screen or a "doesnt exist"?? Its no big deal, we are just in the middle of the move. Thanks, Tony & Sean |

BTW, we need to find a way to hit godaddy where it counts - the pocketbook. Is there a way to know what sites they host and then stop patronizing them (and let the hosted site know why). |
