Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Vizio TV repair

I was given a free Vizio E55-C2 that died. They said they were watching it, and then the screen flashed, and then it closed down in a circle and the TV turned off. It does not turn back on.

The power supply is putting out 12v on the 12v pins and 5v on the 5v pins, so I believe it is fine. I do not see any visual damage on either the main board, the power supply board, or the T-CON board.

My suspicion is the main board is bad. Are there any more troubleshooting steps I can take before firing the parts cannon?
