From her new perch on the U.S. House Armed Services Committee, at the end of last week, U.S. Rep. Stephanie Murphy, D-Fla., announced she plans to bring out a bill “to disqualify participants in the violent assault on the United States Capitol and members of the conspiracy movement QAnon from obtaining or maintaining a federal security clearance, which an individual must possess in order to hold a national security position and to access classified information.”
The congresswoman, who served at the Pentagon during President George W. Bush’s administration offered some of the details of the “Security Clearance Improvement Act” on Friday. “Before individuals can obtain a security clearance to work for or with the federal government, they are subject to a rigorous background investigation,” the congresswoman’s office noted. “This typically involves completing the Standard Form 86 (SF-86) questionnaire and undergoing an interview process. The purpose of the background investigation—or re-investigation, in the case of an individual who already holds a security clearance—is to examine the individual’s behavior, activities, and associations” in order to determine whether the individual is “reliable, trustworthy, of good conduct and character, and loyal to the U.S.’” Murphy’s bill would have the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) ask applicants “whether they have ever been a member of, associated with, or knowingly engaged in activities conducted by an organization or movement—like QAnon—that spreads conspiracy theories and false information about the U.S. government.” Murphy’s bill would also ask applicants if they took part in the “Stop the Steal” rally two weeks ago which became a violent mob of supporters of President Donald Trump that stormed the Capitol, leading to the death of five people including a Capitol police officer. The congresswoman said the attack on the Capitol was one of the reasons she is bringing out the bill. “Any individual who participated in the assault on the Capitol or who is a member of the conspiracy movement QAnon should be required to disclose this fact when applying to obtain or maintain a federal security clearance,” said Murphy on Friday. “It is highly unlikely that such an individual will be found by investigators to have shown the conduct, character, and loyalty to the United States that is a prerequisite to holding a national security position and viewing classified information.” https://www.floridadaily.com/stephanie-murphy-brings-out-bill-to-ensure-qanon-supporters-dont-get-federal-security-clearances/ |

Does posting in a Q thread here count? Are there Q organizations that you send in a check and an application form to? |

Meh. We live in East Germany now.
This isn't surprising, and reinforces that 2022 or 2024 will not be an option, because ANY opposition to the Left will be entirely illegal by then. It sucks for sure, but anyone who didn't see this coming......Do you get it now? This is not the same world, even from 10 years ago. |

I wonder if they'll have the same requirements for people who think that there's white supremacists around every corner as well....

To be completely honest, I think anyone who bought into the Q stuff is too dumb to be trusted with security clearance.
However, I also think anyone who ever joined the DNC or voted for them in the last 30 years is kinda sketch, too. And a lot of people with SC are neocons who like war waaaaayyyy too much. The peaceful solution is to just stop doing sketchy stuff that we think people need clearances to know about. There. Problem solved. |

Geez. In short order I thought the whole Q thing was like Nostradamus (vague so you can pretend it predicted something after the fact). I looked at it as harmless crap and pretty much ignored it. I suppose the fact that I post on this site is enough to call me an associate.
I’m sure glad we got rid of that tyrant. |

Doesn't make much sense to ask a question of a group that holds "disinformation is necessary" as one of its core maxims and expect to be able to trust the response.

I could swear I remember having to say I wasn’t a commie once on some of that paperwork, maybe it was an interview.
Hard to believe that being a conservative will soon be a disqualifier. |

I suspect it's going to go nowhere. If it does it will be about as effective as the marijuana catcher on the 4473. Guess it wouldn't be wholly a net negative in that case. |

Q: have you ever "been a member of, associated with, or knowingly engaged in activities conducted by an organization or movement—like QAnon—that spreads conspiracy theories and false information about the U.S. government.”
A: I have watched television news and voted Democrat 3 times, so yes. |

Gleichschaltung
Gesetz zur Wiederherstellung des Berufsbeamtentums- Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service, law passed by the Nazi regime of Germany on 7 April 1933 Article 1 of the Law claimed that in order to re-establish a "national" and "professional" civil service, members of certain groups of tenured civil servants were to be dismissed... political opponents could not serve as teachers, professors, judges, or other government positions. Shortly afterward, a similar law was passed concerning lawyers, doctors, tax consultants, musicians, and notaries. Hitler agreed to these amendments and the bill was signed into law on 7 April 1933. Article 4 of the Law ("Civil servants who, after their previous political activities, cannot guarantee that they will always stand up for the national state without reservation[…].") had the intention to remove all personnel that, because of their political views, could not be relied upon by the Party to execute its wishes (Gleichschaltung). This Article 4 affected all Germans irrespective of their "racial" origins. Political opponents of national socialism ("Officials who, on account of their past political activities cannot guarantee that they have always acted wholeheartedly for the national state") should either be forced into retirement or let go from their jobs. the Biden admin is moving faster than the Nazis did in suppressing political opponents inside government, civil service, academia, etc. when they came into power. |

View Quote I bet they have been accumulating a list any that posted in a Q group, since day one, linked to a Q related article, posted in a thread about a Q related article or posted about any conspiracy whatsoever. The question I have is it going to be arbitrary and they just can ban whoever they want and it is up to them to sue to get off of the list or is the government going to have to prove they are before they get put on the list. If is the latter then it is just a power grab by the Left and Q is just the excuse they are using. |

How does one identify a qanon supporter? Do they wear special badges or labels. Can they easily be spotted in public. Does simply going to the qanon site identify a person as one, even if they go to that site out of simple curiosity or to seek reasons to ridicule? Its like searching for witches.
