Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Trying to sell a rental but with tenant

House is in South Salem, Oregon and the market is pretty hot.

It's not that big but the tenant wants to buy but can't and doesn't qualify. She makes good money but it is just not happening due to her finances despite a really good high paying job.

I can list the property here if anyone is into real estate to give advise.

Is your rental contract coming up soon oris she month to month already?  Don't renew, or if month to month, give 90 days notice to vacate.

if the tenant is long term with a history of being reliable you may find an investment buyer willing to take them on.  otherwise, try and give them to boot when the lease expires
