It wasn't explained well enough or it wasn't done with enough vigor. 3) Ends justify the means. This is why they come across as contradictory and/or displaying cognitive dissonance. It's also why they generally cannot be reasoned with. They will say one thing one minute and the opposite the next. To the logical observer this makes no sense, but once you understand that their arguments are transient - with only the ends being important - it will come clear. |
