I know, it's like asking for Tier 1 mullet clippers or a Tier 1 trailer park. I'm asking anyway.

Lately I've been wanting to be toasty fucking warm and I remember as a kid reaching a new level of deep sleep with an electric blanket.

Is there one blanket that stands out over the rest? I've got a California King bed but if it comes down to it I don't know why I couldn't use a blanket that's slightly smaller.

Do they make any that don't shut off automatically halfway through the night?

The main thing is to get one with a good warranty and keep your receipt.

The longest lasting one we have bought lately is a Beauty Rest,

Why is it so cold in your house? Close the windows.

Skip the electric blanket and try a weighted blanket.  Find one that weighs 10% of your body weight.

Best sleep I've had in years after switching to one,  but only downside is I can really only use it during winter as it will cook you under it.

We use an electric mattress pad and it feels GOOD on a cold night with a good thermal blanket on top. Ours is branded TOUCH OF CLASS and has been working for us for 5 winter seasons now. It probably came from Amazon.

I'm afraid I wouldn't like the feel of the pad with heating elements in it. So that's not an issue for you?

That way I could still swish the blankets around without dealing with a cord. Hmm.

Or just get a large dog.

Ya, they kinda stink and will probably get hair everywhere but so will a woman.  They're a better deal.

I have a heated mattress pad and heated blanket.  The pad keeps your bottom warm but it was still cool on top.  Now, with both, me and me dags're toasty all around!

Both are Sunbeam so I don't know how long they will last before one of us dies (according to poster above).

Let me guess..; The fresh air she needs makes her also need an electric blanket because she is cold?

If she also needs the central heat running, you need to kick her in your balls.

I love mine! However if I bought again I would get a bit lighter weight. I’m 200lbs. The 20lbs blanket is a bit much to deal with sometimes (Do I even lift bro?). I think a 15lbs would be perfect.

If a tier 1 heated blanket exists. I’ve not found it for the last ten years. Tried a whole bunch (always on the other half of the bed) and they marginally function and if lucky, last 6 months

Never in person, but I'm aware of their size and I'd love to have one.

Get the wife unit a new electric blanket each year.

She has been complaining they don't get warm enough.

This year I bought this one:  https://www.amazon.com/iTeknic-Electric-Certified-Overheating-Protection/dp/B08BCP2MXV/ref=yo_ii_pd_dx_bx_2/140-1724073-1299451?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B08BCP2MXV&pd_rd_r=f48f74f5-37f7-45a0-9fb8-19f15adcf6f2&pd_rd_w=fkonu&pd_rd_wg=azZnD&psc=1&refRID=0VX9WF0QJBQ7SXETRD4B

She is complaining it gets too hot even on the lowest setting. lol

i'm close to 300-lbs and am terrified at the thought of a 30-lb weighted blanket.

still want one.

Get a 20lb one and start there.  Should be plenty.  My 100lb daughter uses a 15lb one.  They can get a bit annoying with sliding off the edge of the bed,  but they are very warm and relaxing and I move a whole lot less at night when I use them.

I sometimes use a blowdryer under the blanket for a minute or two.

You could always toss your comforter in the drier for a few minutes.
