It's around 300 to 350 a month for a total of 3500 a year. Still wtf  next it will be for unemployed and more relief for others.

It’s an advance payment of half the amount of the Child Tax Credit. So while it’s true that the credit amount will be higher for 2021 than in previous years, 50% of it is payable in advance rather than upon filing of a tax return.

First, let me say that this whole monthly "stimulus" is utter garbage that shouldn't be happening.
With that said, I have questions that I hope somebody who actually knows what is in the "stimulus" bill can answer. Based on what I've read, I should qualify for this credit on next year's taxes. They should at least leave it at that and let it be part of the calculation when I file next year instead of this monthly distribution garbage. It sounds like they are upping the child tax credit, and then sending out checks in advance of next year's filing. My question is this: Are they just sending out the difference between the "normal" child tax credit and the "new temporary" child tax credit, divided into six monthly payments? I sure hope that they aren't going to be dividing the entire "new temporary" tax credit into six parts and sending it all out, leaving me screwed on tax calculations for next filing season because my withholdings assumed the old "normal" tax credit. |

200 per kid over 6 x 3 + 1 kid under x 300...$900/mo? My mortgage is 1200 for a 15 year. This is fucking stupid. We have been financially responsible so we can get by on 3k /mo...household of six but take home is $7200 because we aren’t dead beats. So I can pay off my house in a few years with .gov cheese... They aren’t even going to have to rig this next election. Fuck. |
