I think I saw this in the theaters originally. But since then I've seen it so many times on TV, it's easy to forget how good it was because they always cut and sensor it.
Here's the classic scene, we'll never see quality like this again from Hollywood  I lost it at the 3:30 mark   Dirty Harry on feminism and women's quotas It's only a few minutes, but it's quality, not quantity . |

That donut shop/cafe has been gone for decades. It's right by the Third Street (raising) Bridge. When foreign police officers would visit San Franciscograd, one of the first things I'd ask if they saw all the Dirty Harry movies. If they responded, "Yes," I'd then ask if they would like to see the places where the scenes were filmed. |
