I test "drove" the helos a day or two ago. Was not a fan.
It will be a long time before I get anywhere near helos anyhow as I've not played a single aviation mission nor intend to. Strictly armor for me and I'm still running around in BR 3.7. |

Im holding off on grinding a chopper till the flight models get "fixed". Im also of the opinion that low tier gameplay will be even more fun with a lot of the lvl 100 types playing with the new top tier goodies. Grab a good, cheap, low br premium tank and tear up some realistic battles. Lots of fun to be had.
Eta: ill try to make another low tier video tomorrow night. Already have a sweet little premium im looking forward to playing. Eta:last night was a bust. Kept getting packet loss around 70%.

Post 1.81 damage models are fucked. Everytime a plane breaks in half I want to throw a controller or mouse through a wall. They got lazy with coding heli DMs and fucked it up for everything else.

The only gripe I've had with helicopters is that they take forever to take off in sim mode and planes will just attack you as soon as you spawn on the ground.
In my eyes if you're getting killed by planes in a helicopter in the air you're playing wrong. Ive had good success using ATGMs outside the tank map and landing in a treeline to hide from aircraft. |

Turns out I only had the M18 to pick up for the US. and one T-34 variant for the Ruskkies. The Germans however had about 9 tanks ready to purchase...

Btw, if anyone is looking at playing German naval forces don't waste your time buying the premium Type M 1936 minesweeper. I did and its a total waste of eagles, waaaaaaayyy to slow and spawns with destroyers. I like the Karl though. Bought it for cbt and I think is my favorite German destroyer. |

Doing the german tier naval tree.
Its tough to switch between tanks then go naval. Totally different game styles. You really have to play the strengths and weaknesses of EACH individual boat. |

I see an AR15 squad member every really rare now and then, usually in air fights, even more rarely in tank fights. Currently, I'm in =CLAS= squad, but hey, if the arf squad got going again, I'd consider jumping ship. In game name is the same as here, Sithspit. If you see me on, HMU and let's wreak havoc.

I'm still in War Thunder pretty heavy. Usually Realistic Tanks or Air Arcade. I haven't messed with the boats too much.

Just coming back to RB air after a several year break. Figured I would knock the rust off with some flights with the zeroes, specifically the A6M3 series which I am currently working on grinding out all the upgrades for. Had a couple great games but the only one that really stood out was a 3v1 I lost. Really intense fight. Should have managed energy better early (and late) in the fight but I still managed to eek out a couple kills. Also, I really need to work on my gunnery. Really fun dog fight.
 Intense Dogfight Over Zengzhou One thing is apparent, boy am I rusty after taking a several year break from RB air. Also had some great sorties with M4A1Carbine (after meeting him by complete chance in a match, lol) last night flying the A6M5Ko! |

I play a few times a week. Mostly American tanks RB, just getting up to 6.7 on them. No good at RB planes, I play arcade air. I have been enjoying the boats. |

I've never stopped playing War Thunder. Rubic13. Just apply to the Arfcom clan in game, I can admit you. Same as Mercenary Sniper who just posted above, or DigDoug who is also active. We probably could do with culling the list though, lots of people on there that haven't played in years. Oh and 1.85 just dropped.

The bradley needs ERA that thing gets killed by everything. It's awesome if you pull it off right though killed a few abrams and T80s with it.

I bailed on that game some time ago. the developers are hacks and are scamming players.
They were caught manipulating game performance, among other things. The game ratings tanked just before I left, and I exited with 'em. haven't looked back. |

Something I've noticed, if there is an ATGM heading straight towards you from the 12, it can be negated with 50% effectiveness by nudging the tank just in time enough so it bounces off your flank. Was charging a Warrior with my T62 and bounced 3 in a row just before getting into defilade, peeking over the top of a hill and 1 shotting him. Replicated this with my T55AM1 as well.

Just discovered this game. Have only started on the airplanes so far. What am i in for?...
Took me a min to get the controls set up. Then my first time up i took out line two ground targets and a plane or two. Does everyone suck that bad? I'm always in the top 4 players and everyone below is has 0's everywhere.. |
