Makers mark is my easy to find go to that is delicious. I still love the stupid hunt for rare stuff though, it's basically a silly hobby at this point!

Hell my second favorite regular is very old barton and it's like 11 bucks lol

It's been that way here for a couple few years. Allocated and only 1 bottle per. And they only get it every so often.

Have you tried Rebel Yell?  I guess it's just Rebel now.  But if you like Maker's, I bet you'll like it.

You can special order Smokewagon from your local VA ABC store a little cheaper than having it shipped direct....

I wanted to try something new, so I ordered Smokewagon Uncut Unfiltered... It came in today... this stuff is legit.   It's the first time I have paid over $50 for a fifth of bourbon and felt like it was that much better than a $35 bottle

My wife and I just returned from Fredricksburg, TX and we visited Garrison Brothers distillery in Hye, TX and I brought these home.  Their Honey Dew is as smooth as I have ever tasted.  Even my wife who does not like Bourbon/Whiskey liked the Honey Dew

Is there any way to "display" for lack of a better term my empty bourbon bottles that isn't super tacky or making it look like I live in a frat house? I have amassed probably 50 different bottles, saving 1 of each new bourbon I try. I mostly started saving them to keep track of what I have and have not tried and I found the variety of shape/size/design to be interesting. Right now they are all just chilling on a shelf in the basement pantry.

Also the Old Forester 1920 prohibition style is very very strong in flavor. Did not find it to be a good sipper even after diluted by ice but it makes a very tasty old fashioned.

Eagle Rare is funny
It used to be everywhere here, now it isn’t

I was in CA in summer 2020, and Eagle Rare was easy to find. I brought a case home as Christmas gifts.

I like the high proof stuff, but have found it to also be super tasty mixed 1:1 with Pendleton 1910. Yum!

Great question. I also have a linen closet FULL of bottles that I've kept from every new bottle I ever tried. I thought about setting up a bar and filling them all w evan williams or wild turkey 101 to fill shelves.

Have any of y’all heard of Neeley Family Distillery? I called them up and they shipped me 3 bottles this week. One is a 25% rye, one is a wheater, and one is a 4 grain with wheat and oat in the mash bill.

Those 3 bottles’ neck pours are all in the top 10 bourbons I’ve had, and I’m thinking two of them are in the top 5.

This is the same distillery that had Jackie Zykan, formerly of Old Forester, join them to start another label called Hidden Barn Distillery.

I tried it straight from the barrel at a Heaven and Evan tour back in 2018. It was amazing. I couldn't bring myself to pay for a bottle of it at the time, but I've wished I had ever since.

Going to the Motherland next month, so hoping to score some things from the distilleries.

ETA- I did find these at Walmart last week  I didn't need them, but I'll buy them every time for retail.  Have plenty of friends that want them and can't ever find them.
