... for being such bitches about politics, that I canceled Prime immediately after you eff'ed with Parler and your partner, GoDaddy, eff'ed with arfcom. I made sure when I canceled, that they knew why. It literally took a half hour with on the phone with Bobby from Mumbai in their customer service department, to register the reason I was canceling.
I'm not a rich man, but I do OK. Well enough so that, between my wife and I, we probably impulse buy between $50 and $250 a month of crap that we mostly don't need, from Amazon. Amazon's website, and their 2 day delivery, is truly brilliant at getting people to impulse buy crap they don't need. So now, when I want something, I have to go look for it elsewhere. When I see the cost of shipping, how long it is going to take to get it, etc., that kills the "impulse buy high" a lot of the time. So now, I'm more likely to only get stuff that I truly need. Between the cost of Prime membership, and the crap that I just won't buy any more, I bet I'll save a thousand bucks this year, easy. Shove it up your ass, Bezos. I don't like unions, but I dearly hope your employees get one and make you miserable. |

I don't Prime but I did have a set of WildPeak tires in my cart that I cancelled. I've also toyed with the idea of just contacting the vender if it's independent and try to order direct.

View Quote Thanks! I just noticed the "Amazon Item" icon in the menu up there ^. @GoatBoy, maybe you should consider removing that? |

I completely agree. Its crazy how much less I've bought in small purchases since canceling prime. My wife would say the same.

2 day delivery you say. LOL. I haven't had that happen since before Christmas. I would cancel but my wife divorce me. And it cheaper to keep her...

I couldn’t cancel immediately
I had to wait two months since I had paid for the year? |

I use amazon for research purposes, then order straight from the retailer/mfg.

Mine just renewed a few weeks ago and they tried to "pause" my account starting January 2022. No thanks! Talked with customer service via chat function and flat cancelled effective immediately. Refund inbound. |

That alone has turned me away from buying on Bezo's "China First, America Last" website. |

Why do people talk about “canceling” or “not renewing” prime as if they put a stake through the heart of a dragon?
The only thing I still do that touches Amazon, for now, is this website and I have no illusions about anybody caring. But when YOU are actually willing to be slightly inconvenienced enough to put your mouth, money and business elsewhere, enough to make a competitor viable, THAT is when the dragon starts to worry about stakes in its heart. Like Parler. |

I bet a lot of people don't even know they are getting fakes. Or they just don't care. I'm not quite sure. I had to quit using them for my business due to the surprising amount of counterfeit parts I got. |

That's the kind of thing that I would usually just buy on Amazon and get shipped to their house. I ordered it from Lowes instead (a concealed carry friendly corporation, btw). So I get it, you're not impressed. Sorry man. |

I'm holding out on cancelling as something has been happening with my purchases that I am finding curious.
1. I order inexpensive items with free shipping 2. USPS fucks up and doesn't deliver on time on a fairly regular basis. 3. Amazon issues refund. 4. I reorder if I still need it. 5. If lucky second order makes it on time. 6. At some point original order (which I have received a refund for) gets unfucked and shows up at my house=FREE SHIT and Amazon gets fucked. |

Definitely true. I canceled mine and will save money by not impulse buying crap.

Sorry, I made it sound too personal. You were just next in line to make my point. It sounds like we're on the same page, I just went all the way and nuked my account from orbit.

Their bottom line isn't affect one single bit by you cancelling your membership. But at least you feel better.

I actually had to insult Bezos to get Habib to close my account, which he did immediately Fuck them. |

Twitter account already deleted, Amazon is next as soon as I figure out the MIL streaming solution. Will lose about 150 kindle books. Amazon can go somewhere and F off

I wonder if liberals have threads about how they are diverting all their pot money to Amazon and Apple for "defending freedom".

I canceled then deleted Amazon a week or so ago. I just canceled Netflix a few minutes ago.

I dumped all of my accounts as well. buh bye! Ain’t gonna lie, I had no idea how easy it made things....

But as more and more of us cancel and cease using their services, yes, it hurts their bottom line. It may not be by much, but it adds up. I’ve found that most everything is buy on Amazon, I can get for about the same price through eBay, Walmart, target or cabelas.

I haven’t been around long but I took both of my domains elsewhere after the godaddy fiasco with this site. I also let them know exactly why I was leaving.

Amazon made it so much easier to do international shit, IE blu ray tv shows and movies that I cannot get here that I want physically. Orders and sent so fuck em I am done.
