I'd actually be willing to pay a small premium for certified forced monkey labor coconut milk. Like if we could get an FDA stamp or something. I don't want any of that knockoff stuff.

Slavery is wrong because people aren't animals. Animal slaves are called...working animals. |

Quoted: Funny how the western colonizer bullshit mentality becomes perfectly fine and justifiable whenever the "people of color" start doing anything the left disapproves of. I have no authority, nor any right, to tell people in another country how to run their shit. If Thailand wants to introduce monkies into the labor pool? Good for them. In some cases I vehemently disagree with other cultures, like stoning a woman for getting raped or eating dogs, but in their own sovereign land, it's their own sovereign choice. I don’t like coconut milk. But, if Costco straps a monkey to the side of a four pack for $16.99, it would make for a tempting purchase.

View Quote What about locking ‘em up and charging people to come look at feed them? Or forcing them to guide our blind people around? They’re animals...though those monkies are probably happy to help because they’re probably fed. As long as they’re not abused wio cares what animal is a working animal? |

That is THE best coconut milk. I tried a bunch of brands before discovering it.
I’ll be pissed if I can’t find it anymore. Like when they started selling dolphin free tuna. |

Wasnt this the beginning of that one Planet of the Apes?
There was a Chinese dude whod sit on busy street corners after the bars closed when I was in Shanghai that had a capuchin monkey he'd let tourist take pictures with. I ventured over to it one night and dude had a hard metal ring collar on it. Collar was too small and the monkey spent the whole time he wasnt being plied with bananas tugging on it with his fingers to get it loose. You could see the desperation in the little guy's eyes. I felt terrible and never went to that corner again. |

It's going to be really ironic when the coconut plantations have to put down a bunch of out of work monkeys because of this.
Much like how African parks had to put down a bunch of lions after the safari hunting ban. Unintended consequences, how do they work? |

Quoted: Nah, they'll just be out of work, here's their backup plan https://www.zmescience.com/research/how-scientists-tught-monkeys-the-concept-of-money-not-long-after-the-first-prostitute-monkey-appeared/ "It took several months of training for the capuchins to learn that they could exchange such a token for fruit. After they understood this, each monkey was given 12 tokens to decide on how to spend it on food valued at different prices. Researchers observed that the monkeys could even budget. Researchers then changed the market and put Jell-O at a lower price, to see if monkeys would buy fewer grapes and more Jell-O. They acted exactly like the current laws of economics dictate for humans as well." "Something else happened then too. Grasping the notion of currency simply means you understand that you can exchange money for goods and services. Well, one of the researchers, during the chaotic episode mentioned earlier, observed how one of the monkeys exchanged money with another for sex. After the act was over, the monkey which was paid immediately used it to buy a grape…" View Quote They are us, we are them. lol Thats so funny. |
