Long shot question.  I want to buy some traction boards for my Jeep but they need to be the tallest ones available.  I want to also use them as low profile ramps so I can get a floor jack under my car.  A win-win. I see a few that are about 3" tall (each, not stacked).  Do you know of any that are taller?

Making them taller makes them harder to get up on, so I would say 3" is probably about the most you will find.

Stack them and gain maybe an inch a layer.

Can anyone find a video where a traction board was actually useful? I have not seen them be helpful in any situation off-road.

I know you are right.  I was hoping to maybe find one in the 4" range, but 3 seems to be the max that I can find.  It's probably enough.

I have used them a bunch in snow and once in sand so they do work.

I wanted to jump back in and follow up -
I needed a way to get under an old BMW 3 series on a gravel driveway.  I couldn't get a floor jack under it at all the way it was sitting so low.  I also have a Jeep LJ and have thought about some traction boards, but have never really needed them at the mall

Anywho - I was trying to find the highest traction boards I could get to work on the BMW but if I can use them in the Jeep even better.  Well I went with the Bunker Indust mini boards with the jack board.  Advertised as 2.9" high and they worked perfectly to get that BMW up enough.

This was a success so if that information can help anyone then huzzah.

Lumber is fairly cheap.

That must be an extremely low car.  I'd lowered my 3-series a bit and ended up with one of those low-pro Arcan jacks that Northern Tool carried at the time.  Even if that's not low enough to get under the car, I'm thinking that driving up on a 2x8s would give you all you need.

But gravel...  uggh.

Just saw this post.
They make traction boards that fold up, and even some that interlock together so you can just make one long traction board.
