THE PDW You Need?! Diamondback DBX 5.7x28mm Personal Defense Weapons fill a gap in your armory between handguns and rifles. They should be compact, lightweight, easy to operate, and fire potent ammunition. The Diamondback DBX at 3lbs and only 16" long is a PDW dream. It fires one of the most well known PDW cartridges, 5.7x28mm. With an 8" barrel, optimum velocities for the 5.7 cartridge are a walk in the park. Utilizing FN FiveseveN mags, 20+1 rounds are on tap. The AR-15 fire control group gives us customization, and ease of use. Our review today takes a deep dive into this brand new platform. Have this review playing on the TV now when I saw this thread.
Local shop had one. I passed waiting for more reviews. Think I'll probably pass all together on it. |

Takes FN magazines but they dont actually fit in magazine well correctly? Charging handle in the wrong place?

I told PSA they needed to make this in the forum a year back. Everyone argued 5.7 is a dead cartridge ...

Not to shit in your thread, but I have a DB-9 that is total garbage.
If they can't make a Glock clone work well enough to reliably feed 1 magazine, not sure they are ready for gas operated PDWs. That said, I approve of their efforts and hope that it meets success. I also hope they do the same thing in STANAG and SR-25 magwell sizes. |

It might as well shoot gold ingots, least you can find those

Meh...my little Maxim braced 12.5” 6.5 Grendel does PDW, carbine, and battle rifle things all in one.

Needs optional chamberings in 7.62x25 and .357 Sig. Maybe 10mm too.

Pass....
The weight seems nice, but I wonder if it feels cheap? I once watched a boxing documentary where a very wise Russia describing a revolver said "Heavy is good. Heavy is reliable. If it doesn't work you could always hit him with it." Boris the Blade - Weight is a sign of reliability |

Piss on that. I have a Marauder upper and that thing doesn't group, it patterns.
5.56 needs 10.5" to stabilize. The Foot has spoken. |

Oh, it takes 5.7x28...EVERN WORSE!!!
That shit is already $2.50/round. |

I guess this is marketed for fn guys that already have mags? The 300 blackout is also optimized at about the same length. I never see ammo for the 5.7, but I do see it, albeit high, for the bo. Cool you could standardize mags if you already have them, but otherwise I don't see the purpose.

My LGS has one. It’s really thin and lightweight. Doesn’t feel cheap like a Keltec.

Ummm, other then look like something cool out of a movie ...... it does what better then any pistol with a big ass magazine that I can also conceal better?

The primary benefit to a PDW over a handgun is that it is full-auto with a high cyclic rate.
Otherwise just get an extendo for your Glock. |

Junk brands when they make a nice product can be confusing.
This looks promising. Maybe a new leaf for DBX. |
