I have a CanAm Commander. I use a chain hoist to lift up the front ( secondary tow strap for safety) to get under it. Pretty good deal for me. I use my tractor to lift the rear up.

I just have an ATV and I'm using a Harbor Freight ATV jack which works fine in my needs out on my asphalt driveway.  If I had an indoor place, I'd get one of these which Mustie1 uses on youtube.  Obviously this wouldn't work for a sxs.  Since you say you are working on the ground, I imagine you could still use this stand, just put down some plywood or something for a firm surface and wheel this out.   It does use air to raise the ATV.
