Yes it's still around. I'd talk to your accountant first. I screwed myself years ago by depreciating too much too fast and had little to no depreciation for the following years unless I bought more stuff.

How many miles do you drive a year?

I take the standard mileage deduction instead. The van was $25k, but I’ve been deducting $17k-$19k a year using mileage vs actual cost depreciation, and I’ve had it 7 years.
