Well, I made it to 72 and I've come to know that so many things I felt passionate about in my younger years just don't mean shit.

Hatred of old people. You do realize that this is just a manifestation of the fear you have of becoming old yourself, yes? You know it’s inevitable, and seeing them in a state of decline is confirmation that you too will be decrepit. Enjoy your fleeting youth OP.
By the way, you don’t have to be fat, slow and weak when you hit 50. I’m 54 and still do triathlons, backpacking, and back country skiing. I see plenty of 30~ year olds that are out of shape and unable to keep up with an “old” guy like me. Hopefully you learn to enjoy life as you age instead of becoming that which you despise. |
