Beretta AL391 Urika 20 gauge. Scored from a pawn shop for $500; with a factory soft case, and most of the choke tubes had never even been used. Hunting out of a pit blind in Missouri.

Heady Topper IPA. Once called the best beer in the world.

Awesome!  Love me some black labs and duck hunting!

I always did the cream cheese and bacon myself but that looks delicious.

My first time hunting in a pit blind. 10/10, would recommend.

The morning sucked, then around 1 pm the temp dropped to like 34 degrees and it started snowing. The next three hours were the best hunting of my life.

Does a “kill it and grill it” pic supersede the other rules?

But you can still lose points based on other things like no napkin/paper napkin, fork on wrong side, stapler, measure tape, no reload.

Be careful!

And jelly. I'm a grown ass man and I've never had the pleasure of savoring wild duck.

It’s ok! It took me 8 years to realize leaving the skin on (and that wonderful fat layer) makes a huge difference.

Duck looks like a bird but cooks like a steak. And when you leave the skin and fat on, it’s like it’s naturally wrapped in bacon.

Great work!

You sir, need the “teal in a jar” recipe. It’s on Field & Streams website.

Whole teal in a mason jar. Makes a duck stew. It’s great!

I'll try it one day. These teal got made into a gumbo, big ducks got the duck roll treatment.

That looks perfect. Love wild duck.  Mallards and Teal?
Haven't been in about 6 years. Believe it or not used to do pretty good on the Rio Grande when I lived in Presido.
Before that, when I lived in Maine, I used to hunt every day that I could during season,
