Did the dash plastic crack or did one of the deck screws fail?

Bought a little over a week ago. After 8 rounds. Speer Gold Dot 124gr. View Quote https://recalls.keltecweapons.com Also, were the Gold Dots standard pressure or +P? |

Bomb drop of a thread title with zero pics or information.
You’re a one man Buzfeed, OP. |

OOB detonation or case head rupture?
Did you find the case responsible? Is there a bullet stuck in the barrel? |
|
|
Apparently, there was a bad batch of polymer.....

Based on the photos, I don't think this was related to the recall.

This was supposed to be for the wife as something to keep in the vehicle.

Doesn't look like an OOB or any other type of ammo related kaboom. I'm not seeing any scorching or burning. Looks like the plastic just broke. Either a manufacturer defect or damage from being dropped with the barrel striking a hard surface at an angle.
Either way, it shows why they are nothing but range toys. Edit. And that's not the reciever. The receiver is the metal tube that forms the stock tube. The original design of the part that broke was metal. Bean counters. |

Just send it back to the mothership. They make fun little toys, but they are sometimes less than reliable. That said, they have always fixed mine and had them back to me in a few weeks.

Quoted: No. No shrapnel. Felt just the same as the other shots. Still had it shouldered when the front fell off. View Quote You might take a look at the Ruger PC9 for a replacement, or perhaps an AR-9 pistol. |

Now you have two! And just as functional as a typical Kel Tec

I'll give the OP $20 if he duct-tapes it back together and shoots it on video.

I had a case rupture in a PMR30 I owned...KT had it back to me in under a week, but the point is KT does not fully test their firearms.
I would never buy or trust anything KT again. Glad you weren't injured, OP. |
|
Yea glad you're ok op, send it to keltec and let us know
It works out |

apprx 1700 rounds through mine with no problem. Also never heard of this before with one.
