Coworker just overheard me discussing this w/ another worker. Explained what efficacy meant and what this meant for the "drug". Told her not to be surprised if she's told she'll need another jab w/in the coming months. "That's ok", she said. "I don't mind getting another shot".

Is she old or have preconditions?
If so the shot makes sense. If not, decide what is good for you and deal with the outcome. No problem. Government needs to shut up about vaccinate everyone. IF COVID IS SO TERRIBLE WHY IS CHINA NOT BEING BOMBED RIGHT NOW? A CRISIS AS FAKE AS OUR PRESIDENT. |

Page 11 and 12 of the supplemental material are interesting.
Looks like a lot more adverse events for the vaccine patients (which would be expected) over the placebo. Looks like they had more deaths under the vaccine than the placebo for various different reasons (only 1 more so would probably be in the error interval). |

Out of a pool of 44,000 people, 50/50 split, I more died after being vaccinated (15 - 14). In terms of adverse events, slightly more for vaccinated group, but more life threatening events among placebo group. But question for you medical and science folks; how can you have a ‘related’ adverse event associated with a placebo? |

People get infections, have stroke, heart attack, or blood clots, etc.... All the time irrelevant to vaccine status. Correlation or causation....

Not true in developed countries, where we gotta assume better data than the whole of the world. Plus different countries are in different stages of the pandemic. In the US COVID-19 was the third leading cause of death in 2020. In Dec 20 and Jan 21, it was #1 in the US. In June 21 it was the 7th. |
