In this market yes.... if you don’t like it you’ll probably get at least $2200 on gunbroker.

Sig MPX K (Gen 3) Review |

Those are nice and shoot really well. They also suppress great not a bad deal at today's prices either. You'll love that weapon.
I've shot the heck out of mine and would not sell it for anything. Same exact gun, 8 inch model |

I have a Gen 1. It’s been great and eats everything. I generally leave a Silencerco Octane on it. It’s not an MP5, but it’s probably the second best sub caliber gun out there (though I prefer the TP9 due to size). $1800 isn’t bad so long as it is in good shape. Check the receiver to confirm no cracking - sometimes when an aftermarket trigger is used without the hammer guard, it can damage the receiver. I only saw it once with a binary trigger, but Sig cautions about using in in sanctioned triggers.

I like my mpx a lot. Didn’t know they got that pricy. As long as you have a line on mags I think you will like it

I have a gen 1. I love it, reliable, accurate and fun. I know I'm screwed for parts though.

Fo.
Good price in today’s market. MPX mags were $50 bucks, now $60-70 if you can find them. Brace is $150-200. If it’s used but not abused, go for it. Soft shooter and accurate. Easy operation of controls like an AR. Never had a problem with mine. |

Quoted: Got a line on a Gen2 Sig MPX with the more rare 8" barrel and keymod handgaurd. 4 Magazines, Collapsible brace. Im not sure what upgrades it has, it is a Gen2 but that means sooo many things these days. Is it worth it to nail this sucker down for now or wait until sig gets ALL the bugs out? https://www.carolinashootersclub.com/data/attachments/134/134049-ba63fe4014f5d36ab1b38360b1feeb31.jpg View Quote you should give me the link and i will check it out for you |

No way to get anywhere near that now. Op, I have the gun in your original post. You’ll like it. Find some gen1 mags when and if they ever pop up on sale and enjoy it. |

A buddy of mine got one and it took a few years for me to get a shot at it as he lives in CA (don't ask, long story) and the chance came up a month or two ago. It was a huge letdown. It was heavy and clunky, worse than a typical 5.56 AR. For the money, I would have expected a better trigger, and while I like PDW's, the brace on this one has a very short LOP as they go and it wasn't all that ergonomic. You can do better, maybe not for the money but it will not be a great gun. SIG blew it. |

Keep it clean and make sure you have a bunch of spare extractor springs.
A ILWT extractor isn't a bad idea, either. Mine ran like a top until around 4k rounds. Then it started having problems. I learned to keep up with it, but I still get a stove pipe every 100 rounds or so. I met 2 other people with the same experience as me. In contrast to a poster above, mine handles like a dream. It's light and super fast on target. Mine in an 8 inch gen 2 SBR. I have a LaRue trigger in it. Installed the trigger when Mark was saying they were good to go in an MPX. I'm at around 7k rounds on the trigger and so farso good. However, I might get a purpose designed trigger to avoid any problems in the future. |

I got the 8inch Gen 2 with folding brace in a trade awhile back. It's fun and you will burn through a lot of ammo with it. It's the one gun my son insists I never sell so that he can inherit it. If they were cheaper I'd buy another one.
I surf the local TX gun sales board and they seem to have gone way up in price lately. If that one comes with additional mags go for it. Unfortunately the days of cheap Gen 1 mags ended. |

hell no
wait for the 4.5" to get in stock at like $1.9-2k, with mlok to boot |

I have no idea if that's a good price or not but my gen 2 carbine and 8" pistol just like that are my favorite guns. Mine were much cheaper and I was smarter than I'd normally be about snatching up discounted gen 1 mags. Sig fucked us on the supposed caliber conversions but at least the guns themselves have been solid for me. They are supposed to chew up triggers eventually unless they are made for them, but my carbine has a binary in it and my 8" has a larue and both have been good so far to around 3-4k rounds. The carbine probably has about double through it overall. Haven't shot them much this year.
Nothing wrong with that handguard but there are aftermarket mlok options if you want. If the mags are back to only being available at $50, that sucks, but they ARE at least nice mags and should last forever. CDNN had some small parts at a time. Not sure what they still have. Looks like CDNN still has 10rd mags for $20, they were $10 at one point. It's supposed to be a huge PITA as the baseplate is glued, but if you can get them off those can be changed to ~22rd mags. I remember some guys posting about boiling them to break the adhesive. I got a box of them somewhere but never got around to trying. |

Boil for 10 minutes and it softens up and then use a punch to press in the baseplate retainer and then use same punch to pull the plate off. Clean up glue. Trim the retainer spike off. Reassemble. And rock that 20+ rd mag. |

I have one and love it. Only thing I would warn you about is Sig being notorious for dropping products. All the kits for the MPX simply never happened and I would not be shocked if they simply decided one to day to just drop the MPX. They seem to only go with hot sellers and they could sell a hell of a lot more 365s and M400 Treads with their MPX budget.

I shoot a 8 inch early gen 1 a lot with no failures about 5000 rounds into it.
I just started shooting the latest version of the Gen 2 16 inch PCC and have had at least one malfunction per match. I do not think any version is more reliable than the other. |

It's been reliable, but the factory barrel would only shoot minute of building with my can on. I had to spring for an ILWT barrel to get it to group anything reasonable. And my APC9 and Zenith MP5 clone are both much more accurate. If I hadn't SBR'd it, I would be selling it at todays market prices. |
