Nazi badge from their motor pool.

I7 8700k delidded champion over clocker. She ran at 5.2ghz for 3 years with little voltage increase. Had more to give. Tested out at 5.5ghz.

Liquidator medal from Chernobyl.

Trinitite but I'm sure others have some.

Behind the trinitite a steam condenser tube plug.

Jewish Yad but I'm sure there's Jews here with one. This particular one dates from the era of the Nazi badge.

Bediasite-tektite shard that I found buried 2' deep in the soil. Was found on a multi cultural Indian campsite that spanned about 11k years based on the artifacts we found there. Location was Northeast Texas in an area known as deadwood.

the strewn field that these tektites come from is around 200 miles to the west, so some ancient person liked it enough to carry it all that way. I had it sent to univ of Missouri for X-ray fluorescence testing, and the chemical makeup matches with other known samples.

From what I've found, this tektite strewn field in Texas is associated with the meteoric event that created Chesapeake bay.

I built this all metal model of the Blackbird under construction back when the series was still on. Not 100% accurate, because not many reference photos were available then, but it turned out pretty well I think. I didn't try to make is specifically to any scale but it's probably closest to 1/24.

My Wifes camera.
Its certainly not rare, but it is cool for its age.  Might be surprised if another member has one in good shape.
She has a Olympus Trip-35 from 1969/1970.  Why I think its cool is that it essentially uses a solar panel in the front lens to power all of the cameras functions and meter the light conditions. Pretty neat for something 50 + years old, and to function flawlessly still to this day.

Far too much cool stuff in this thread, so I'll nerd it up a bit.

My slide rule collection... or at least most of it.

Quite a bit of Pickett in there, including the two small N600-ES models, which were what the Apollo astronauts brought to the moon.  One of them is the less common magnified cursor model:

Less common, but not valuable.  None of them are particularly monetarily valuable, although the Faber Castell 2/83N is prized in good condition, since the ink they used on the scales tended to bleed.  That one and the Pickett N3 & N4, Teledyne Post Versalog II, and K&E Deci-Lon 68-1100 (all pictured) are considered to be some of the most powerful mainstream rules ever manufactured, and these are all in very good to new condition (although the newest of them is 50 years-old)

But I also have others that are just interesting to me, like this Sun Hemmi, made in the late 1940s, during the occupation of Japan, and marked that way:

And this Soviet rule, with only "CCCP" and rule standard markings, since manufacturers weren't really a thing in the USSR:

There's nothing particularly interesting about that one, but I wanted a Soviet rule in the collection since they were among the last ones made.  Most other nations had stopped producing slide rules by the early 70s due to the advent of the pocket calculator, but the Soviets made them into the 80s.  One other interesting aspect of this one is that I bought it from a guy in Kiev, who mailed it in the middle of this shitstorm, earlier this year.

But my most valuable is the bottom/darker of these two rules:

It was my dad's.  His best one, which he used as part of his trade back in the 60s and 70s.  The one above it is the exact same model I found for sale new, in-box, after having sat on a shelf for 60+ years.

They are really the only thing I collect, and my collection is not large or particularly valuable, but they all mean something to me.  I grew up in the age of pocket calculators and computers, but I still remember my dad showing me how to use his.  And that is the only one that sits on my desk.
