At this point in life, nothing is surprising...
I'm guessing this Shed will be put back into service soon enough, and it will be a legend wherever it may go...

Ahh the shorts.

The box normal airplanes come in.

Plus the only airplane I know of with 2 cockpit doors

Not even an A-380 has two cockpit doors!

Logged 4000 hours in those things, heck of a good bird.

Damage does not look bad at all.

So there I was, stationed in Wiesbaden Germany in 2006ish, when some of your buddies landed to spend the night on their way home from Iraq.

They borrowed one of our survival radios to cross the Atlantic because ….. they didn’t have any.  I still can’t fathom how anybody would be willing to start such a globe trotting flight without a survival radio of some sort.

I ferried a C-23 across the North Atlantic over to Iraq once. I’ll never do that again!

Plane looks like they strapped a board to the crate the plane was in.

I drank to "black out/where am I" with a group of C-23 pilots.

Nothing like a bunch of ARNG Aviation Dets doing the job that the SPECOPS -130 community was actually funded for.

Belly ups happen. Its a 360.

Welcome to the DOME!

I was there the same time sharing the hangars.

Balad was at it's best those years.

I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of alcohol in our housing units…

I remember one of our C-130 pilots in the unit I was in was selected for the then new C-23 program in the USAF as initial cadre.    He went to Shorts for training.
