Hard to watch. Long video. I'm only 10 minutes in.
Full Video: Officer Gets Shot & Apprehends Suspect!!! |

Cop kicked ass. Took rounds and stayed composed, forgot or couldn't load mag after being wounded. She didn't ball up into fetal and cry.

That dude's tits are making me reevaluate only needing 12" of pen in gel.

She had a mag in, it dropped when she was trying to rack the CH one handed and she never replaced it. Both hands were messed up and she was obviously in shock. ETA: she also caught a little frag in the right eye.
While arresting the older guy (not shooter, not resisting) she laid the rifle down like 8" from his hands. Failed to use the sling. |

Like I said in the OP, she's a fighter and stayed in it. But damn it could have went badly for her so many times. She would have been f'd if fatass would have stayed in it. Lots of lessons we could all gain here. |

I think I’ve seen this. Did we do this one a few months ago? She did good holding herself together. At least that’s my perspective from my recliner.

If this is the one where she gets shot in the arm/hand, then its a super dupe.

She held her shit together despite being wounded and went home to her kid. I'd say she did fine. Did she perform like a Tier 1 SpecOps Navy Seal Special Forces Operator? Nah. But she did fine. |
|
[#16]
I won't critique her. Yes, mistakes were made but she hopped right up after being shot, got in the car, and went after the bastard. She didn't cry, screech, or whine.
In her heart, she's a warrior. |

[#17]
Huge W.T.F. for those Fat Fags to shoot at a State Trooper just for getting pulled over.
|
|
[#18]
Damn homegirl powered through.
How many of y’all: 1) Actually really, honestly shoot? 2) Have gotten shot? 3) Train to deploy a long gun from a crowded cockpit? 4) Conduct a threat, area, weapon assessment after a shooting? 5) Conduct a threat, area, weapon assessment BEFORE your shooting, while in pursuit and talking to a chatty dispatcher? |
|
[#19]
Enjoy prison mother fucker. And she did just fine in my book. She put shots on target after being shot. I'm sure adrenalin had a big roll on everything that happened after that.

Much to my surprise I watched the whole vid.
Why did the FBI have a warrant served on the shooter? |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Much to my surprise I watched the whole vid. Why did the FBI have a warrant served on the shooter? Yeah, I ended up watching all of it. It was fascinating. There was more info below the video. (Not being snarky, but there was a lot of info in the video description.) Officer is also commissioned as a Federal Task Force Officer, so the FBI was involved in the investigation and charged Nelson with the attempted murder of a federal officer and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence. I don't understand how someone could throw their life away like that. And in the end, no high speed chase, no dramatic arrest, he just gave up. I wonder if he called his parents when he drove away? |

I just wished she had smoked that fat POS. Badass lady, not many would get shot then chase down the mofo who did it and re-engage. Much respect.

She was great.
Adrenaline was fucking with her day. Not gonna fault her for that. Keyboard commandos gonna keyboard. |

My take away from the video:
A sling attached to the end plate can potentially be problematic. And a good ranger band is a lightweight and worthwhile addition. |
|
[#34]
Never saw it so thanks for the repost.
Things don't go the way you plan and people do weird things under stress and duress. She stayed in the fight and won, enough said. Good lessons can be learned, but be careful to second guess, it's way different when bullets fly your way, hit you and you gotta figure it out as you go. |
|
[#36]
No armchair quarterbacking here. I've been in a high stress shooting situation once, and it was a complete fucking blur. And, I wasn't shot or being shot at, and trying to arrest people, and dealing with half the shit she had to.
|
|
[#37]
She did well. At the end of the day she's a cop not a highly trained warfighter who spends countless hours training for violent encounters.
Couple of things im not clear on. Fatso was solo? Im guess he called his Father while he was running away? |

Real life isn’t John Wick. She stay solid. I guarantee mistakes could be picked out of every dangerous situation when a police officer is shot. I watched a video last time around I don’t need to watch it again.
I was actually pretty taken it back to the most by the fact that considering she was shot there was an awful lot of calm going around from her and the rest of the police officers with handling the people. |
|
[#39]
The mag fell out. It was loaded when she first picked it up. Either wasn't seated well, or it's a leftie rifle

View Quote Thats the big thing that stuck out to me, as the amount of professionalism on display and the fact they treated that idiot with a fair amount of respect. Of course, I wonder if the cameras weren't there how all that would have played out. What an incredibly stupid fuck that guy is. |
|
[#42]
And just think how this could all have been avoided if she didn't decide to pull him over on some chicken shit noncrime like tailgating
|
|
[#43]
She stayed in the fight despite being chased down the guy who shot her taking the fight to him while wounded. She made some mistakes, and I'll bet she is now paying a lot of attention to what she did wrong and how hit could have got her killed.
|
|
[#44]
At least they had their masks on! Fuck the projectiles flying around everywhere, we're worried about a cold virus that you might survive only 99.98% of the time!
|
|
[#45]
Didn’t forget to load mag, it dropped when she was trying to manipulate the charging handle. I’d say she did just fine.
I love it when she goes “Fucker!” |

There’s a reason Tier 1 units do a hot wash AAR after training and combat. So do Tier 2,3,4 and others if they have their shit together. You’re going to make mistakes, learn from them and others so you’re better next time. I’m betting she has.
|
|
[#49]
I think another lesson here is, don't pull over to try to help law enforcement.
Edit: I didn't watch far enough, looks like the fat guys are related to each other? |
