I'm not happy with the fact that the black had significant webbing issues, but when you apply the parts it breaks through those imperfections. I'm wondering if I need to drop the temperature on the black filament to prevent that.

Couple questions....

What's the rod thingey for on the sides?

What does the writing say? Can't enlarge it without it pixelating....

Granted, the orange didn't exactly have the chance to have webbing issues, being the bolts. But the gray for the core of the lower has plenty of open spots, namely the mag well and trigger pocket, and there was no webbing there.

So, on polymer lowers, the weak points are at the pivot and takedown pins, and the buffer tube attachment point. Those are designed to balance the stress over a larger area to prevent failure.

The text is the text of the second amendment, not sure why that image shrunk compared to the top, both were taken in, and pulled from, Messenger.

Is there any way to maybe inlay a metal plate in the sides to reinforce it?

Just spit balling.....

Or, would that be too difficult to get adhesion to?

I'm just not entirely sure what I should lower the temperature to in order to maintain print quality ?????

In the middle of a print? Generally yes, unless you're going to babysit the print the entire 22hrs to know exactly when you have to lay the metal plate, and then pause and hope the hotend doesn't get so cool while you're laying the plate that the filament doesn't come out properly when you restart the print.

It also defeats the purpose of a printed lower if you have to add non-printed parts.

Oh, I just saw you said sides.

That would be, practically, impossible. The top of the core was printed on the glass bed as the bottom. The extruder would not be able to get around vertical metal plates

I have no idea what I'm looking at over there. There's just a few pictures.

Unless I'm missing something. Which, I most likely am.....

I'll figure it out eventually....
