I ran the "Remember the Fallen" 5k today for the end of police week with a group from work.  My goal for the year was to hit 30:00 flat for a 5K and did it today in 29:28.  Second goal Iv hit this year.  Got to my goal weight of 195 down from 256 18 months ago.  Only goal Iv got left for the year is to bench press my body weight for 2 or more reps.  Best I can do now is 185 for one rep.

New goal is going to be under a 9:00 mile pace.

Incorporate a set or two of 3-5 slow eccentric reps by using 110-120% of 185 in place of your last working set.

It’s intense, you’ll need to have 3-5 minutes rest between sets, use once a week.

What is really amazing to me is how much easier the running is after dropping all the weight.  Plus to how much better I feel day to day.
