Fucking outstanding. My son brought this girl home last November. She was eating out of a dumpster in single digits at a rural gas station. They stated she had been around there since summer abandoned. She is an odd one, but sweet. Kittah was a rescue as well. Found by my son on a Summer day in an asphalt parking lot with the temp over 100.

I had big dogs for years. We got our first Cairn (Corky, the dog in my avatar) as a rescue 30 years ago and have never looked back. Carson is our fifth Cairn. Freakin’ heart of a lion in an 18 pound body.

I got a mini Dachshund this way. I was horseback riding with a friend, and the little weasel started semi-shadowing us. He kept drifting out into traffic, so I scooped him up. He had a collar, but no tags. I tried finding his owners, but it looked like he was dumped; there was a lot of that going on at time. So there I was, all cowboy up, riding through the neighborhood cuddling a purse pooch...

This is him, Hermann the German Vermin. The ladder and presents were part of his attempt to woo my Great Dane. He likes him some leggy bitches.

I found a cat on the side of the road a few days ago. I was trying to find an owner I couldn't so I ended up keeping him.

Today my wife and I volunteered at a homeless/battered teens shelter in ATL and I met a young kid who was trying to be a modern gospel/hip-hop singer.

I just so happen to be best buds with a producer who is Grammy nominated in Christian rap and he owes me a favor from watching his GSD this week. He offered me money, but the kid mentioned in passing that he doesn't have access to a decent microphone. That boy had a light in his eyes and a voice to match so I called my buddy and asked for an old mic in lieu of money; hell, I don't care, I love having his GSD around

So my buddy gets his dog watched, the kid gets a vital piece of equipment he needs, and I get to be happy knowing that I've made a good impact on a couple people's lives. We can only do so much to effect this crazy world, but on a day to day basis, our interactions can mutually benefit all those involved.

Both of mine are rescues. Buffy (the white one0 and Nellie (the ball of fluff) are now inseparable. Buffy is a Lapsa something and we have no clue what Nellie is. Some say she is at least part Weeden Terrier but who knows. They both love unconditionally.

So the sweet little lady is preggers. My parents ended up taking Charlie in after my buddy said he worked too much to be fair to the dog, which I'm super happy about. He was man enough to admit he couldn't give the dog the time that she deserved.

My dad took her to get fixed and *surprise* she has 4 healthy heartbeats in her belly. My dogs are all fixed so she must have gotten pregnant pretty much right when I found her.

3 of the pups are spoken for, and they should be here in a couple weeks.

Looks like I potentially saved 5 dogs instead of just one

Your dog and mine could have come from the same litter. Bad angle but she looks just like yours. Plus she's lost 3 lbs on her new diet. She's a chow hound. She's 9 years old now. My first dog. I did not know how attached you could get to them. She's my little girl.

OP your a great person with a greater heart for doing what you did.

Those are great little dogs my best freat has one. He saw me pet the cat. Bad move...

had to bribe this little pecker wood to be my bud again. Very jealous little dog. But a great one.
