Making sure I’m not crazy here in my thinking…

No off-roading is planned, just going camping…

Plan A:
Honda Passport has a weight rating of 165 lbs.
Roof rack: 52 lbs including the mounting hardware
Tent (not roof top tent, 8 person tent in a bag): 37 lbs, and on the 62” long basket will hang off the open rear about 14”
Canopy: 47 lbs and will fit completely on the basket
Sleeping bags & pillows in a dry bag loaded in middle between tent & canopy: 10 lbs
Straps & net: 3 lbs

Total weight: ~150 lbs

Does anything about that plan sound unwise?

Plan B:
I could use my rooftop cargo box instead for sleeping bags, and carry the tent & canopy on a hitch basket, but the hitch basket is much too small, only 48” wide and aluminum, so I’d have to strap the giant tent & canopy on top of the hitch basket and not “in” the basket, so I’m less confident in that plan.
