Yeah, …. and it’ll still be a landslide for the Trump/Noem 2024 ticket.

Best get on the train while you can. Otherwise it’s a looong walk back to Sorryville.

I'm still undecided, and probably leaning towards DeSantis in the primary. That said, these endorsements will have zero impact.

Outside of Trump dropping out, it's hard to see how he has any path at all

No, Stitt would not dare to oppose Trump in Oklahoma if he wasn't already term limited.  Okies for the most part have their mind made up and Trump will win this state easily.

I disagree. While they may not matter to some people that already have their minds made up for whatever reason, they can have an impact for people that are still weighing options.

If we're going to give the polls credence for Trump's "lead", then we also need to give them credence that most all of them since the primary started show that only 25% of Republicans are dead set on Trump, 25% are dead set against Trump, and here's the big one, 50% are considering Trump and others. That's 75% of Republicans up for grabs.

Here in Ohio, last year we had a Senate election. On their faces, I wasn't especially enthused about any of the Republican candidates. Most of the ones I was considering were saying the same things. When I saw Trump endorse JD Vance, after Vance having publicly been anti-Trump and now doing a 180 to get Trump's blessing, that completely soured me on him since he was willing to sell out to associate with Trump.

Meanwhile Rand Paul came out and endorsed Mike Gibbons. Because I trust Paul (though I don't always agree with him), his endorsement of Gibbons carried a lot of weight with me and Gibbons got my primary vote.

Clearly Vance (unfortunately) won the primary but I have zero doubt that endorsements like Stitt's carry weight with people, especially for someone like DeSantis who might be lesser known than someone like Trump. Someone in Oklahoma might say, "I really don't know a lot about this DeSantis guy but if my governor I voted for thinks he's good enough to lead the country, maybe I need to give him some serious consideration." Now repeat that several thousand times.

Imagine that. Conservative governor's are supporting a fellow conservative governor who was working with a group of conservative governors while they were trying to figure out what to do about the President's push to keep their states shut down. Apparently they think he'll do a better job as POTUS than the competition.

And Kemp and DeSantis "disrespected" Trump by saying "this isn't working and our experts disagree with Fauci; we have to open everything back up and get our kids back in school" (paraphrased). Sent Trump on the warpath

It doesn't matter.  DeSantis could build himself a death star and he'd still lose to Trump.

I'd say the dumpster fire is the campaign burning so many of it's donations on legal fees it can't hardly afford to actually campaign so has to run the Biden 2020 campaign playbook.

Hillary showed what a winning campaign strategy that is.
