Nothing fancy, just a cool little green snake. Little dude sunning on the highway, i scooped him up to prevent smooshing, released him on the farm in a apple tree.

I've seen them down by the Purgatory River.

There are two types: smooth and keeled green snake.

The keeled has a ridge running down the center of each scale. The smooth, well let your imagination run rampant.

Apple tree? Serpent?

Could OP be Satan, Prince of Darkness?

Very nice, unfortunately that's not a native green snake, it's a Boomslang and one millidrop of venom can kill an entire town, but still a good gesture!

That is a cool looking snake

I’ve spotted only one green tree snake out here in 30+ yrs
We were eyeball to eyeball while he was sunning in a sumac when I drove up right next to it on my tractor

That's a cool looking little guy. All I ever see in my area are garter, water, and rat snakes.

I turned around on my bicycle to rescue a snapping turtle that was headed across the road. Little fella, 3 inches across maybe.

18 wheeler flattened him.

I did allow this fellow to live while I was scouting for deer, not a rescue exactly.

Caught a smooth greensnake about 45 years ago. I was a kid, and relocated him to a location close to house. Later that summer came across same snake. The only green snake I've ever seen.

That's awesome!  I work with several counties in my AO for snake relocation.  We've relocated everything from rat snakes, garter snakes, copperheads, rattlers, and even some exotics.  Thanks for not harming that little one.  Too many mouth breathing cowards would have killed it.

Ah neat looking critter, I'd have enjoyed admiring him for a bit, don't see those too often!

I caught one of those green snakes and let my granddaughter play with it, she's eight.

She didn't want to turn it loose.

Good job Buck, not every snake needs a boot heel.

The non venomous snakes and coral snakes around my place I have a live and let live arrangement with. The copperheads and rattlers get relocated to hell.
