I'm 35; I started out at age 4, with a stuffed elephant, running around our County-party headquarters. My Mom was the County Co-Chair, and my Dad was Republican businessman of the year for 3 years straight.
When I was 18, and a freshman in college, I volunteered for W's 2004 campaign. I was very involved with College Republicans, and I even got in minor scuffles with some Kerry supporters a few times. I have voted Republican ever since I could vote; no more. If a candidate presents themselves as honorable, and relatively trustworthy, I will consider supporting them on an individual basis. I now believe that accelerationism is the best path forward, as the "slow-boil" will only ensure our failure. |
