Was given an older solar g shock and it is in good shape, but there is a scratch in the middle of the crystal. Thoughts on how to remove it.

If it's a plastic crystal, there's a chance you could buff it out. Sapphire, not so much.

Search for diamond polishing paste on Amazon.

I restored a sapphire crystal on an old Seiko.

You will need some thing very hard to apply the paste to. I used a knife honing stone for the lower grit pastes. And a  piece of stainless  steel for the finer grit paste.

In total it took about 2 hours to get the crystal polished.
