Wow. He earned that one. His problem was that he wanted to be in charge of the encounter. But he was outnumbered and more CPD was arriving by the minute. That's how you get your ass kicked by the Police.
For the record I have been in the same position. Stopped by uniformed police while doing my job out of uniform. The rule for surviving that one is to smile like an idiot and do exactly what they say until everyone is more or less safe. You can explain everything later. It's only an unpleasant experience if you fight it. It's not like I was worried about going to jail. It does take a second for it to register that they're going to shoot you if you don't do what they say. And some times officers shout conflicting commands as everyone tries to be in charge. And you can smell the adrenaline for miles. |
