Where I grew up in the Midwest every man wore a cheaply made mesh-backed hat with a big ass panel front. Reagan was president and times were good and a man’s hat usually matched the beer he drank. They were walking billboards for their beer. My dad worked a 9-5 job in a suit and played on a bar-sponsored softball team with his buddies after work. Off came the suit and on went the Miller’s hat. You earned bonus points if your brim was flat in the center and angled on the sides. Beer was cheap and when you worked on a car with your friends it was either a six-pack job or a twelve-pack job. Those were good times.

LOL
I didn't even know they made fitted baseball caps until the 90's. Ours always had the cheap plastic adjustable straps. |

If I could find a good one, I’d probably wear it now. It’d go well with the mustache I've got going.

I remember a lot of CAT trucker hats back in the 70's and 80's. There were a lot of different variations of it IIRC.

I honestly love them.
I think if a company logos hats they should always offer a trucker mesh hat option. |

Not a trucker hat, but this was my favorite growing up. Grandad gave it to me, and I wore it just about every day. Nobody batted an eye at an 8 year old wearing a chewing tobacco hat.
