I'm looking to update our departments EMS training materials. We currently have an ancient version of Brady EMS training that is from 2009. These are normally PowerPoint presentations followed by a hands on skill set and a short quiz that we use for our members to maintain their CEs. Before I ask our board to drop the money a new edition of Brady (which I'm not overly impressed with) I thought I'd look into alternatives. What resources are your departments using?

Assuming your looking to purchase versus a yearly subscription? Brady has been on the 13th Edition for a number of years, maybe worth while to reach out to see if an edition change is coming before you make a decision

Yes this will be a purchase. I much prefer asking for the money once every decade rather than yearly.

You buying books or just want the Power Points? They give the PPs away to instructors, you can create an account on their site and download them. EC13 (yellow book) is the same text I've been teaching out of for a couple years now but the PPs are updated occasionally.

Just the Power Points. It would be nice if they had a test generator since I put some of them on the departments website to let our guys do online stuff and the tests prove they did it (or at least know the material well enough). Not a deal breaker as I've been writing my own for a few years but it would be nice.

They do, you download the test generator and then question/answer banks to use. Select # of questions and category and it spits out a test.

We used Action Training for a few years and I thought it was very good. My District is moving to a new program though, ill see if I can find which one it is.

Test generator only comes with purchase of the instructor tool kit.

TestGen is software and it does questions by chapter. You can random copy and end up with shitty questions or you can scroll through and select questions you feel are pertinent.

Are you looking to post an online test? Or something guys can print out and take? I don't know what formats you can export in, I typically do PDF, but you could always use Goolge Classroom if that's what you want to do

Feel free to IM me if you have any questions.
