So wife went to let our dog out this morning and this little fella was in our carport. Covered in ticks, briars and some fleas (we live pretty rural). Wife gave him two baths and fed him good. He Seems like a good little pup. She guesses he is 7-8weeks as he doesn’t have all of his baby teeth and weighed 13.8lbs. We had to list him with the county by law(and because it’s the right thing to do), but if no one can prove he is theirs, in 2weeks we can keep him if we wish to do so.
So does anyone have any idea what breeds he may be? Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |

Mixed German Shepard I would think. He ears should be starting to stand up unless he is too young. Have a veterinarian look at him could be full
shepard sure looks like one to me. I have been around Geman Shepherd's for years. My shepherd died 3 years ago. |

German mix or possibly a full long hair. Ears don’t stand up usually until later

Looks like a GSM and a cutey...
I'd have trouble giving him up if he stumbled onto our property. If you guys are out that rural of an area, he is likely a pup, some redneck asshole dropped of rather than find him a good home. I HATE when people do that. Download and app called Dog Scanner on your smart phone and try it a few times. |

She went to our closest neighbors house this morning to ask them as they have 2 GSD’s. He said that it wasn’t theirs but that one of his dogs was a dump off/stray from 6years ago. |

After looking at the pic with your other dog, any chance is a Dachshund?

GS mixed with a smaller longer hair breed.
Looks like it'll be a real cutie. My GS/mal mix was a fantastic dog. Adored kids. |

Looks like you have a new lifelong buddy! He looks like a sweet little boy.

Thanks fellas. We took him for his first vet visit a few weeks ago. The vet said he was definitely mixed with something.
He’s a good pup and our kids love playing with him. It’s fun watching all the youngsters and the dogs outside chasing chickens and rough housing around |
