"Get it all on record now—get the films, get the witnesses—because somewhere down the road of history, some bastard will get up and say that this never happened.” He was referring to one enormous terrorist act, but it applies to this one as well. |

See renaming them causes people to not learn the history, therefore they are doomed to repeat it.

Re-naming the bases is just setting the precedent for further “hope and change” down the road.
I don’t believe that any of the people who propagated these changes have any love for America or its institutions, but they also know that they can’t go as far as they’d really like, just yet. So for now, they’re finding acceptable icons for their naming convention, but later on down the road, you’ll start seeing things like Fort Lenin, Fort Obama, Fort Tubman and Fort Sparkles the TransVampire or other absurd shit. The left reads the works of Orwell and Huxley as instruction manuals instead of cautionary tales. |
