I tasted it tonight. It had a faint sulphur smell. Shortly after swallowing I got a terrible tasting sulphur burp. I did a little research and discovered that it is hydrogen sulphide. The remedies suggested are varied but all have the same principals. So, I splash racked and put two pennies in the mead. The copper in the pennies reacts with the h2s and removes it from the mead. I will rack again tomorrow and taste. Thought you guys might find it interesting.

After more research I racked again and let the mead flow through a copper tube. It worked. The sulphur is gone.
