(Added guns to the subject line, this will just be where I post news that I see on Twitter.)
I haven't seen much discussion of the ammo experimentation people have been doing, so I will post some reports here as I see them.
This guy is claiming 180gr at 1200fps out of these caseless, electrically ignited sabot / preloaded cylinder things. Attached File |

Is that ammonium perchlorate in those things? Looks like small rocket propellant charges used to send the bullet down a barrel. Interesting

|
Any vids?
I don't think I would have thought of that as a way to accomplish this but that's certainly different. |

400+ lb ft energy at muzzle. (Comparable to low-end of 45 ACP)
Very impressive. |

Video of G3 clone firing 60 rounds, a guy lost $150 betting it didn't work.

For examples check out his long exploit into the 50cal 3D printed gun, he's lucky it only blew up a little a few times. |

I knew an engineering student on Weaponeer who tried to convert an SKS to gas delayed blowback using the original gas port location.

Another .308, no real news

It uses the existing trunnion into a 3d printed barrel mount. Unfortunately my printer went down so I didn't have a chance to roll my own yet. But you do need like a 10T press per the instructions last I looked. |

Cyacrine dissolves ABS. The part is monolithic. ABS with fiberglass reinforcement is the best material.

You boys be careful now!
People don’t think 65,000psi chamber pressure be like it is but it do. |

Somebody is testing out a printed UMP. Edit: Two weeks out from release:

Not much detail here and I didn't look at their old posts, but I think this is
Edit: bolt action using printed upper and bolt carrier. Not sure if bolt too.

Ctrl-Pew back with a... mortar?

It is amazing how little people in gd understands 3d printing and saying it will not last and will blow up
|

Canzerfaust!
Was it on GD? Here's another video. I like the idea, quick soda can delivery.

^ and I should be mad since my 3d-printed fun project idea/side hustle was going to be a vizmod kit to bolt onto a can cannon to make it look like a Carl G

I saw a 3d printed .22 blowback that used an AR barrel and cmmg rimfire conversion bolt carrier group for the action.

Not mine, but oh so good - an exposed carrier key. Essence of AR one can make from a 1" pipe. |

Lots of FMG-9 talk today (my printed FMG-9 thread was archived I guess) due to the B&T variant coming out that uses a Sig frame. But I saw this today which probably is 3-d printed or at least otherwise craft built:
