Quoted: Anyone have a guide/advice for someone just starting with Robinhood? View Quote My advice is to be wary of people giving you advice and referencing their gains since March as proof of their investment skill. Robinhood, for some reason, seems to be the epicenter of these types of people, at least from the anecdotal stuff I see online/Instagram/etc. Anyone who wasn’t in cash or short should have posted at least double-digit gains for 2020. *Not calling out anyone in this thread specifically; no insults meant here. Just commenting on the broader landscape of new investors out there. |

Mostly broke even today in the market overall as the bell nears except NNDM picked up more unrealized gains in the actual RobinHood account.

Nice timing in your PLTR! You probably doubled your account today!
Quoted: started RH on Dec 11 with $500. went SPY 430 call , then switched to PLTR 26 call a week ago. will hold PLTR for now. hoping to hit $1million with just $500 https://i.imgur.com/tD7gsyl.jpg View Quote |

I had some ups and downs...
Most recently bought a couple of GME calls on the cheap. They started to tank. Sold them only for it to immediately moon....my $80 would have been worth $4k if I didn't sell off............. Attached File I'm restricted from buying on RH right now. Too many day trades. I do have an etrade account also. I doubled a GME call on there. Whats kinda neat is that my etrade is 15 minutes behind, where robinhood is real time (or close to real time)..... So you figure that situation out.... |

I started with $250 due to the mvis thread a little over a year ago, since then I’ve made some consistent deposits. I would have been about double this gain but I bought into the gnus pump and missed the dump and became one of the bag holders.

No screen shot available but,
1 yr +$1254 or +144% Bought Apple to start and still holding it. Traded MVIS a couple of times, still holding 160 or so shares. |

I thought I was being smart and played with some options with ATS.
Spoiler alert - I wasn't smart, and now I don't play on RH anymore. |

[#42]
whos holding on GME, BB, AMC, PLTR?
might exchange my PLTR for highest strike available; get bigger gains that way |

Based off what I have read.. gtfo out GME sooner than later lol

App wise, I’ve been using Stash just for shitzngiggle. All my major investments handled through Fidelity.
I’m down about 10% overall on 600 bucks of random investments. Mostly lost on GNOC when I listened to a buddy saying it would be the quickest money I ever made... it wasn’t. |

Quoted: Anyone have a guide/advice for someone just starting with Robinhood? View Quote Yeah. Use a real brokerage platform and forget about Reddithood. I like and mainly use fidelity myself, but E*TRADE or td are fine too. No day trader option gambling crap. Put cash on there. Wait for market drops like October 18, then buy in. Then wait. Once you are diversified, you can set aside a small % for wildcatting. I gambled on TSLA and won big. But my main focus is growing the diversified stable groups of assets. |
