With all the pipe talk recently, I figured out that I want one
Trouble I am having is I don’t know anything about them.
Trying to find a mid- gradish pipe but not sure if I am heading in the right direction (I do know most of this is preference based)

Sounds like filtered pipes are no-go? Why? Why not?
Shapes? Do they make much of a difference? (I would like to wrap my fingers around the bowl and point at things (with the stem)like an intellectual)

Is the airway size pretty standard? I am not one to puff cigars nice and easy (want to avoid tongue bite as much as possible)

Some of it is looks. I kind of like the way this looks but am wondering if there are known drawbacks to this type of design?
Any help from making a mistake off the bat is appreciated.

That looks similar to the one I bought.  Mine is an 02 where that one is a 68.  Only thing I can say is that if you want to save a few bucks you can get that same basic shape without the nickel band for somewhere in the $80's.

It would he nice to find info on what pros and cons of bent vs. straight, vs. bowl tilt type of stuff. Are the differences even noticeable at all??

I can find a pick tool (nail), bic for now and a 6.5C case for tamper.
