The video was badly out of sync when I previewed it on my phone. Wasn't sure if it was a problem with the uploaded video or what. Does it not match in the actual episode? If not, I've never noticed. |

From what I understand it didn't match in the actual episode. I never noticed either. I read about it somewhere several years ago. |

Star Trek: Picard Season 2, Episodes 4 and 5 - re:View |

View Quote Just finished watching their review. Good Lord, this show looks even worse than I could have imagined just from the clips they play. I'm convinced at this point the only reason it continues to be made is it's a money laundering operation. |

I didn't bother watching any of that show... I only know a bit about it from The Drinker.
It looks like a shitshow, and they've shit all over the legacy of what Star Trek was. |

Usually done hundreds of times in Star Trek some alien species is about to wipe out all humanity till hero somebody comes to the rescue. So in Picard they flipped it and the big terror is humanity won against all the aliens and Earth is safe unless the heroes come to the rescue. When seconds are counting down and the heroes are supposed to change everything in some dramatic heroic action if Picard were to just lie down and take a nap it might just be better television.

Drinker vid clip from a longer stream, featuring Trek production alum Robert Meyer Burnett.
Not necessarily about Picard but, not limited to STD as both shows are plagued by the same problems: Star Trek No Longer Understands Star Trek |

Picard Season 2 Episode 6 One of Number Two REVIEW |
|
The show sure has gone a bit leftist. INS is bad, makes people disappear, and money is bad. People shouldn't be rich and wealthy while homelessness exists. Some real commie crap.
Surprised they didin't make it about going back to 2024 to stop Trump from getting reelected or some shit to save the future from totalitarian rule. |

As usual, Drinker nails it!
Star Trek Picard - No More Reviews, I'm Out Picard Season 2 Episode 7 Monsters REVIEW |

Watched episode 7 last night. I am intrigued by the budding lesbian relationship between Seven of Nine and the alcoholic black chick. I am hoping they explore that in a graphic way.

Picard Season 2 Episode 8 Mercy REVIEW |

I don't get the whole Dr. Soong story line. There are 300 years difference between this one and the other one. Has he or his ancestors been working on AI/Android for that time or is future Dr. Soong also an android created by past Dr. Soong that he made look like him and that eventually created Data and Lore?

Picard Season 2 Episode 9 Hide and Seek REVIEW |
|
I’ve figured it out:
The first episode of the season, the one where Picard boomed the Stargazer or ‘appeared’ to boom the Stargazer. The Borg queen who’s face you couldn’t see, the one that professed to want to join the federation. The reason they hid her face is because she is the Agnes model Borg queen come back after 380 years. This season is nothing more than a spring clean for the Borg queen… |

Half way through... It really is astounding at how bad they've managed to make these characters. Having Seven say, "They're not people anymore. They're Borg!", is quite possibly the height of stupidity. Rich Evans described this and all modern Trek the most succinctly I've heard it, "This is a show designed to make morons feel smart." You'd be hard pressed to put it any better. ETA: An actual emotional ending to the review. I know exactly where Mike is coming from. I felt that way a while ago when I saw what they were doing. Now I'm just bitter about what they've done to Trek and I won't ever forgive or forget about it. But I understand where Mike is coming from, you can only point and laugh at the train wreck for so long before the reality of it sets in and why he's lost the spirit, like The Drinker, to keep on pointing and laughing. We're literally watching the death of a part of our culture at the hands of cultural vandals. |

When I heard that Star Trek was coming back (STD and Picard) I felt hopeful and excited, looking forward to continue the great experiences of when I was younger. Similar to having a great person, someone you loved dearly many years ago, show up back in your life. And then she turns out to be a meth/crack addict hooker who is a POS and treats you as a money source (Paramount+) and sucker. You know it will end badly with the drugs and lifestyle but there is nothing you can do but watch the person you cared for so much slowly die away. Damn. FU P+ and CBS and everybody involved in NuTrek. TYCOM |

I was right about it ending back on the bridge and Agnes being the Borg queen and not a baddie.
Now, what do you do about a dead Romulan body in 2024? Also, why did her eyes get red? Vulcans/Romulans have green blood. |

I don't understand how Rene Picard's finding of the micro organism on Europa is supposed to save the world from pollution or climate change when there was a nuclear war in 2053 in The First Contact movie. Or are we supposed to pretend that movie never happened?
