I see spots are very limited, but could an extra person pop in for one of the events? The Escalante one would be fairly easy for me.

I am interested in this trip, it sounds like a lot of fun and I would finally have someone to tell me what I am doing wrong. I have been running a D3000 and just the kit lenses, is that good enough for this workshop? I have all the other gear necessary for the nighttime/nature stuff already, just my body and lenses are not that great.

Yes that is good enough. With what we will be going over, you can always apply it later with new cameras and lenses.
I started out many moons ago with lenses that were not so great. No one buys the best gear all at once.

I suggest you get a cable release cord though if you do not have one.

IM me your contact info.
I can call you tonight to talk about it all.

I am joining Keith for the workshop in the high desert. I will be driving up from Phoenix for a fun 5 night camping trip with hiking and photography tossed in. I hope other Arfcomers can come along!

Stunning images, very nice! I will be in TX, AZ, and CO in a few weeks. I rented a nice lens and

look forward to taking a bunch of photos.

Sad I missed it. Not sure how the wind was on that side of Bryce, but we had 60-70 mph gusts that night.

And they expected me to take them on a boat in that wind!!! I laughed and left it at that. You going back there next year or heading somewhere else?

Beautiful.  One of those places that I'd like to get to spend some hiking and taking pictures.  Next Spring you say? Hmmm.
