Link to info I've hiked all over Utah and been there on 11 different trips. This workshop not only takes you to some hard to find spots, but also will have me teaching techniques to better your photographic skills. Will always be focusing on morning and afternoon shooting, But will also be doing a lot of night time photography and star trails. 
Locations are subject to change. But not likeley. Friday afternoon/evening - Areas around Page, AZ. (Will do some night time star trails as well) Target area is Stud Horse Point, Night time star trails at Horeshoe Bend and Balanced Rock near Lee's Ferry. Saturday Morning - Wahweap Hoodoos near Page, AZ Saturday Afternoon - Get to Escalante and hit a few spots along Hole in the Rock Road Star trail shots as well near Sunset Arch and Devils Garden. Sunday Morning - Goblin Valley State Park Sunday Evening - Tukuhnikivatz Arch, Behind the Rocks, La Sal Mountains, Moab, Utah. Stay here after dark and do more star trail photography Monday Morning - Klondike Bluffs area - Lots of arches in this area. Well off the beaten path that does not see many visiors. We will start hiking around 4am to get to the Marching Men Rock formation. Monday Evening - False Kiva in the Canyonlands - May shoot into the night here as well for star trails Tuesday Morning - Delicate Arch Hike and early morning star trails. 4am we hit the trail ( I know the trail well. Hiked it 7 times as well as at night ) There will be no moon out during this time. Perfect for doing long exposures and star trails All workshop groups will be limited to 6, maybe 8 people. Seems like a lot of ground to cover but I have done this easily many times. Cost is $500 and does not include lodging, transportation, meals or park fees where applicable. If there are more than 8 people who want to go, I will not turn away anyone. Will be willing to make adjustments. Same price but for 5 days now. Some people can fly into Dallas, I'll pick you up and ride out with me. I have two people already riding with me from Dallas. But can fit one more. |

I see spots are very limited, but could an extra person pop in for one of the events? The Escalante one would be fairly easy for me.

Sure that would be no problem.
I'll be starting off near Page and taking the dirt road called Cottonwood Canyon road to Escalante. Some really cool spots I have picked out in that area as well you might want to see. In Escalante I am driving down and hitting spots along Hole in the Rock road. Will be doing a lot of night time shots there too. |

Added up to 8 people to the group. 3 people have signed up so far. Here are some images of where we are going.

It went great. We found some new places and spent most of the time shooting Sunset, all night then sunrise.
For everyone being total starngers, everyone got along great. We did have to help the lady who was with us a bit. She was really in no shape to be on this trip. But it was delt with without making her feel bad about herself. We just helped motivate her and trie to make her feel comfortable being with us. azeyecap and I are now planing a trip into the Maze area of the Canyonlands for next spring now. Here are a few I have processed.

Stunning images, very nice! I will be in TX, AZ, and CO in a few weeks. I rented a nice lens and
look forward to taking a bunch of photos. |

Sad I missed it. Not sure how the wind was on that side of Bryce, but we had 60-70 mph gusts that night.

I'll be back next year. We are going into the Maze area of the Canyonlands.
I may even make a quick solo trip back in the area over Labor Day. But will be in the Page area most likely for that one. |
