Still would like to see an icon in EE ads showing which sellers actually make an effort to include pics.

View Quote Does it weed out sold and closed items from searches or at least display them as such? Of course the former variant should be optional in case one is trying to find price points. |

Not sure I like the required for listing....might discourage people from listing run of the mill parts, say an add for a2 flash hider new in package....nobody gives a shit about that pic. But buying used or more expensive stuff you absolutely want multiple. but I really like the everyone can upload and it would be cool if there was like a little arrow or something next to each one with pics. There are always those who are just too lazy to post pics, then there are those who are technically challenged. Often the latter post links, and often someone fixes that for them, posting the pics themselves. I like your idea of an icon better than requiring photos, as I believe some will either decide not to post the ad at all, while others will try to post the ad and not be able to. I'm just wondering if they keep a tally on how many ads are placed on an average day/week/month, and whether or not that data will be used to follow up on whether requiring photos is a good idea or not. I definitely prefer pics. I post them in all my for sale ads. However, I also like Liberty. I also like scooping up good deals because no one else wanted to buy that ad with no pics. |

I have been begging for this for years.
It's 2020, we have spaceships landing on astroids flying across the Universe that are sending videos and photos back to Earth and this icon thing is too big a hurdle??? |

Let's think this through, it's 2021 and we, the human race, have landed space crafts on astroids flying across the universe.
That in itself seems pretty incredible. But wait, they are now sending photos back to Earth! From the astroid! Now you think that sounds crazy? Nope. What's crazy is we can't have a damned photo icon on sales posts in the EE. Crazy or sad? It is very, very lame. |

Next we need buyer's state instead of "USA" in WTT/WTB ads.

Use to be that the sell price had to be left up and not deleted as well, but still no Photo Included Icon...

Quoted:Some do not mind. Personally, no pics /no shop for me. View Quote Wow, I thought I was the only one. Click on an ad I might be interested in, no pic? Click out without reading it. There's a lot of reasons why someone wouldn't post a pic, and none of them are positive. Save myself potential grief. As an aside, none of the image hosting sites will get through the .mil firewalls. So pics linked there are just little red Xs. So unless the goal of the seller is to exclude the military those sites are not the best for making a sale. |

Is it really that difficult? Actually I don't know if it is or what is the hold up.

Quick little update in here.
I would like to share some of the dev work on the new EE, but have been holding off as we get closer to live testing. At this point, we may just move into live test and let you all play around and provide feedback. It's not about adding images, but rebuilding the entire system. This does include ALL users ability to upload photos for their listings. It also includes a new way to list (yes this will be painful), but provides a LOT of power by doing so. This is not the old "new" ee, but a new EE based on the system you are used to. You will be able to use it as a true for sale tool, or as a pseudo forum. The difference is, the tool will provide much more power and flexibility. The old way will work much like the current system, except with the new form for listing items. Anyhow, harder to explain it than to show it... Soon! We are making a ton of progress on it! |
