If someone is so stupid they don't know that instinctively, its best not to tell them, we're better off without them.

Accelerated natural selection.

I think we should give them all a jar of peanut butter and let them photograph the bears at the dump. "Just open the jar and wave it around... They will come right up to you."

Was that recent incident? I know it happens somewhat often. I’ll be there in October and I have no desire to get close to one of those.

If you are dumb enough to FAFO with a wild animal that large, you deserve the viral videos made of you.

People watch too many cartoons and Disney movies. Bison seem docile and friendly, until they aren't. I've had them practically rub against my vehicle, i could have reached out and touched one. There's no way I am doing anything to startle or challenge them.

I was in Custer State Park in SD, and one of the employees was telling about where he and other employees camp. There was a bison which would come into camp each night and lie down a few yards from the humans. No one was dumb enough to approach this pet of theirs.

Quit interfering with Darwin.  He has a job to do too.

There has to be some way of getting the idiots out of the gene pool.  Thank a bison next time you see one.

Looks like a walking trail. I stayed at the motel/lodging next to the one of the camping areas in Yellowstone. Got up, walked out the door and a Bison was standing right there.  In fact there were several in the area.  Big mofo.

People are stupid.

We pulled into the gate of Denali and I look over and see a bunch of tourists heading towards a moose and a calf.  I pull over and say to the kids "We are going to watch someone get killed today".  The tourists head for the cow with cameras and she stands up and does a shake thing to get the rain off.  Then she charges and people scatter in 360 degrees.  Oh well, not today Darwin!

Looks like the poor tourist must have passed out from the high altitude and the nice friendly buffalo is checking to see if he is okay until some humans can come help!

I was just there this week, there are warning signs posted everywhere, and it's printed in highlighted text all over the map and brochures they give you upon entrance, besides the fact that it's just common sense. People getting gored/trampled deserve it.

Been to Yellowstone.  Been very close to buffalo.  Not by choice.  I was in my wife's brand new car and the buffalo started crossing the road.  In case you find yourself in this situation the proper response is stop and shut off the engine.  Buffalo do not respect traffic signs.

In any case they walked all around my car and it was a sedan so I was right about eye level with them.  The look of sheer insanity in their eyes told me getting out for a closer look was a really bad idea.

Worse yet later saw some cars pulled to the side and thought maybe we'd spot a bear.  Got out and went to the edge of the road.  There was a 20 foot drop (not sheer could stumble down) to the forst level and a young grizzley is moving away from the crowd on the road.  Some of the idiots were climbing down the embankment for a closer look.

They walk among us.

City folk.   They've spent their entire lives psychologically divorced from the reality of nature, they go to a place like Yellowstone and routinely put themselves in danger.

I was there earlier in the year and folk were crowding bears (some with cubs) until rangers showed up and made them back away.
