I have 2 Seamasters, a chronometer and a chronograph with the blue face.
One was a gift when I graduated that I bought at an authorized dealer in the '90s. The second one I bought from Crown and Caliber a few years back. It has run great and the photos they posted were absolutely accurate. https://www.crownandcaliber.com/search?view=shop&q=speedmaster The one thing to be aware of buying from C&C is the bracelet size. If you get a used watch with a bracelet that is too small, the links may cost $50 or up depending on the model. |

Definitely review the articles Finslayer83 posted. They will help you understand all the different versions of it. Omega makes one heck of a watch and you likely cannot go wrong with a Speedmaster. I'd love to find a nice Professional under $4k.

What do you want…..traditional dive watch with twist bezel? Plain Jane waterproof watch? Chronograph? Dress watch?

The speedmaster looks unique compared to, say, an aqua terra chronograph. I don’t think there any other chronograph they make besides those two families. Speedy has the tach bezel. |

I’ve got a seamaster titanium. I think it is a 2231.50. It’s a good watch. I really like the dark/gray side of the moon speedmasters. Check those out. As far as where to buy, I got mine from watchvault nyc but I would also look at watch recon search exelonman he usually has some for a pretty fair price, mostly seamsaters though.
