I'd wager the kid wanted short hair and couldn't tell mom, so she made up the excuse that it was a punishment.

I think the daughter was playing one parent off the other and this is the result. Well,the real result is the mom takes the Go Fund Me money to Cabo to get a relief from the emotional trauma. |

I have a 15 year old daughter, I feel sorry for the treatment of the young lady. That said, I don't know the entire story, thus, not inclined to judge any involved. Too many what if's are available. What if the father told his daughter and/or ex that he would cut hair if they did highlights? How about let's act like adults and discuss the hair treatments before they are done? And last, it would have been far better to just color over than cut off that much hair. I'd be pissed if someone did that to my daughter, even if the end result was decent. PSA - don't EVER use children as pawns to get at someone else. The child is always the loser in the deal.

My wife took my daughter to get her haircut one time and my daughter wanted some pink highlights in her hair. So my wife allowed it but mentioned I'd probably be pissed about it. When they came home she was afraid to show me her hair but when she did I said she looked cute with them. So the next time my wife went and got her hair cut she got pink and purple highlights. I still gave zero fucks, she just turned 8 yesterday and I asked when she was going to highlight her hair again and what colors she was going to pick.
Some people are wound too tight. |

1. The two firefighters are POS for humiliating the daughter. Not talking the FB shit but all the questions she has to answer regarding ‘what happened to your hair?’ That looks to be over a years growth. Don’t fuck with your child to get back at your ex.

If the story is true as reported, then the father and step-mother are total assholes who deserve to be relegated to supervised visitation. I don't blame the fire department for getting involved.
